ABOUT US
The Social Pup was opened in April of 2014 by founder Sarah Quigley. The idea came about when Sarah adopted Skippy and knew the importance of socialization in the healthy development of a young pup. She didn’t want to leave Skippy home all day alone in a crate and as she searched for a daycare, she realized Lowell was lacking in most everything Pup related. After trying some big box daycares and being unhappy with them, she decided to open The Social Pup. Her idea was simple.
"If I have to leave my dog, I want them to know his name when he walked in, I wanted a small group of dogs so they got to know each other so he's not stressed out from meeting a whole bunch of new dogs every time they went to daycare. I wanted my dog to be treated like it was their dog, with love, compassion and care. He wasn’t going to be just a number. Finally, I don’t want to pay to put my pup in a cage for the day or even part of the day by himself, if I wanted him in a crate I would keep him home."
Thus her model of small group cage-free daycare was born.
Welcome to The Social Pup!
